Introductions

By Rajesh Shah of Blue Planet Network Posted almost 2 years ago

This review is to introduce EOTO to a neighbour in Maharashtra (WOTR), and two orgs that have done school water projects (Ekoventure and HPPI).

EOTO is primarily focused on education but has realized that water and sanitation programs are very complimentary and important to a school program to attract girls and keep kids healthy.

My questions to them:

1. You have ambitious goals to increase the number of schools, do you plan to attach WASH projects to them?

2. Do you include (or plan to) some education about hygiene and other WASH in your school program?

Regards,
Rajesh

ps: i look forward to putting your past WASH projects on the PWX map

1. Yes, we plan to include wash projects in all our projects in the cities. We have still not started this in the villages.

2. We include some education about hygiene in our program in the cities and villages.

Thanks for the reply.

Looking forward to working with our first urban implementer in India.

Maybe longer-term, your kids can help monitor projects, teach them a real-world ICT application that helps see how water projects are working long-term.

Regards,
Rajesh
