Nearly all of the benefiting families, including the elderly, adults, and children, assisted in the excavation and following clean-up of waterline trenches prior to pipeline installation in the main supply line.

A drinking water committee was formed and is responsible for maintaining and sustaining the water system, as well as collecting the monthly tariff.

Water For People measures the impact of its work in both quantitative and qualitative outcomes. In terms of the water system, a total of 137 water connections were provided:
-126 household tapstands
-6 additional families benefiting with a domestic service line up to their cut-off valve
-5 public tapstands
-2 for the junior high/high school
-1 for the elementary school
-1 for the health post
-1 for the principal plaza

Additional outputs of the water system included the construction of three spring catchment works, two break-pressure tanks in the main supply, two small collector tanks, a 20,000 liter storage tank, and piping throughout the system.

The partner NGO is currently working with the Health Post to monitor the prevalence of diarrhea.
