Current area and future work

I look forward to your participation in PWX. You say you don't have a website currently, but now you do! PWX can be your website and if you put up all your past projects on our map (the ones in your bio) then they can become visible to all.

My question is regarding your work area since i can't tell how close your earlier projects are to Pondi. Do you work only near Auroville? Are you thinking of expanding your coverage? Your work seems to have potential to spread.

Current area and future work

Thanks for your mail

Primarily Palmyra works in an area near Auroville that is in the vicinity of the Kaliveli tank, a major lake.
Our project area in which we have activities is about 8oo sqkm.
We dont of course cover all the area but we are well known in this major watershed through all our projects.

Working in other areas could be possible but depends on the local situation of the area where this project would take place.

We did have interaction with groups from all over India as well as Kenya and Zimbabwe, which we visited at the time.

I know Palmyra organization and the team , they are doing good job in the area.They have done projects with water and sanitation and have rich experience in the lines.
Palmyra have good name with the funding agencies and with government agencies so I don't know do they really need funding or they want to join the PWX net work for sharing expereinces.

Hi, Palmyra seems like a BIG organization shouldering very big projects. Great to see how they work with the farmers. Are there any information on the status of the projects that have been already implemented in India?

Hi Meera,

It would be good to get current status of some of the projects done in the past (true for all projects by all implementers on PWX!). Since Palmyra is located close to its projects that should be feasible. I hope to quickly put up all their past (and current) projects on PWX so that their current status can be updated as the projects are visited or reports come in.
