Member Profile: Earth Voyage

Earth Voyage hosts WOW, the World Olympiad of Water (www.WOWfestival.org). WOW harnesses the power of play to promote water conservation at home and distribution abroad.

Earth Voyage employs a gym-sized, Fuller-projection map of the world as the basis of its core educational program, Water Is Life. This program, designed for ages nine to ninety-nine, raises awareness about global water issues through hands-on activities atop Fuller's 'one world island' map.

Earth Voyage is a special project of the Buckminster Fuller Institute. Earth Voyage is based in Asheville, North Carolina and its flagship program, the World Olympiad of Water, is headquartered at Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, the original home of Black Mountain College and the school at which Buckminster Fuller taught.
