Narrative
This site #PW261. is in the Kittipur village under the jurisdiction of the Bagjola panchayat of Baduri block in the district of North 24 Parganas.. The arsenic concentration of the private tubewell of Jiaul Haque was found to be 0.06-0.08 mg/L that was tested on 11 January 2013 with the VisuPAsS Visual Portable Arsenic testing field kit. The construction is supposed to start in mid February 2013.

People Getting Other Benefits: 30
Awareness programs such as village meetings before and after the construction of the well, health meeting and if needed projector program is done during the first year of construction. During this time the villagers are informed and educated on water borne diseases, health effects of arsenic in the drinking water and also educate, both, young and old, mainly women on how practicing proper personal hygiene prevents contagious diseases. At times more than 30 people gather at such meetings.
