Narrative
This site #PW270 is in the Keotali village under the jurisdiction of the Saguna panchayat of Swarupnagar block in the district of North 24 Parganas.. The arsenic level in private tubewell was tested as high.
The previous site was cancelled because of absence of sand layer within 30 feet. The construction was completed in the first week of June 2013.

Registers will be created as soon as the community starts using the water from this bore-dugwell.
People Getting Other Benefits: 30
Awareness programs such as village meetings before and after the construction of the well, health meeting and if needed projector program is done during the first year of construction. During this time the villagers are informed and educated on water borne diseases, health effects of arsenic in the drinking water and also educate, both, young and old, mainly women on how practicing proper personal hygiene prevents contagious diseases. At times more than 30 people gather at such meetings.
