This dugwell is not being used now. The hand pump needs to be repaired that is being delayed more so because people stopped using the water for drinking and cooking purpose because they complaint of bad smell that may have been due to presence of high iron as per the physical quality of water..

Unusual and unexpected issues faced during project execution
Research and Development is part of the project. The arsenic level was 11 PPB tested on 30th June 2008. The Total coliform and Fecal coliform are 40 and 'undetected' respectively. Date of water collection for bacteria tests was on 6th December 2008.

As of June 2012, 12 consumers belonging to 3 families are using this well. A new pipe has been fixed as part of maintenance.

According to the register record of July 2011 the total consumers=36; Families=8; Male=20, Female=16, children <5 =3 and students = 8.

This dugwell is not being used now.
In september 5 2008, families (19 consumers) were drinking water from this dugwell and stopped from october onwards due to technical problem. Due to heavy rainfall the water became turbid and two rings got displaced. Repair work has been scheduled.

People Getting Other Benefits: 50
Health meeting and villages meetings have been organized in this community-based-group. The discussion were on on arsenic health effects and personal hygiene. A training program on the maintenance of the dugwells (including chlorination) is given to develop a sense of ownership and to make the program sustainable. The register is being created.
