Member Profile: Sarakki Lake Area Improvement Trust (SLAIT)

SLAIT was formed to help Restore and Rejuvenate the once pristine Sarakki lake also known as Jaraganahalli lake which was fallen prey to unprecedented encroachment, pollution by entry of untreated sewage from surroundings, uncontrolled growth of water hyacinth and the consequent flight of avian and aquatic life over many decades.

When we started we had none, but brought in a wealth of diverse experience and passion.

Now we have years of work and successes as can be seen from the project list.

The founder trustees and office bearers are experienced professionals from diverse fields and come from a wide cross section of the neighbouring communities. They are passionate about restoring the beauty and pride of their neighbourhood.
